Henrik Jespersen
is classically educated
at the Royal Academy of Music in Århus,
and has for many years
worked with ethnic music
at Århus Free School.

As an improvitional musician
Henrik Jespersen has worked
in many different connections.

Among these are the music groups:

International Spiritual Celebration Band (ISCB),
Honk Ai, Breath,
Full Face,
Tundra,
Duo Resonante

Played with musicians:

Pierre Dorge
Peter Brøtzmann
Charli Morrow
MR. Lim Dong Chang
MR. Jang Sa Ik.

In the most recent years
he has composed and performed
in connection with theater a
nd dance groups as:
Boxiganga,
Århus 2000,
Terpsichore,
William Cirkus,
Michal Casey’s Bufontheater,
Palle Granhøj Dance,
The Royal Danish Ballet
Theater MU in a Noh Opera
with Miyoko Kataoka.

Besides of making concerts
he has made music
for many different projects,
both as composer and as musician - a.o.
for Palle Granhøjs dance-performance
and movie ‘Bodyfluids’,
a piece for the Royal Danish Ballet,
music for a Korean performance of ‘Ullysses’
played both in Korea and Germany.

Together with Duo Resonante
he has been on many international tours
and so had concert tours in Spain, Italy,
Holland, Belgium, France, Germany,
Korea, Mexico and Brazil.
He has also performed on many festivals,
both national and international - f.ex.:

NUMUS festival in Denmark,
Buskersfestival in Ferrara (Italy),
Jazz around in Bruxelles ,
EU jazzfestival in Mexico City and Oaxaca.
Festivals in Ferrara,
Colmurano and Martina Franca (Italy) and
Salvador,Bahia,Brazil,
Poland 02 - 07
and Neuchatel Schweizerland…
